Glimpses of … Portugal - Lisbon
Portugal
2021 and 2022
We were mesmerized by the beauty of Portugal and its people during our first month of full-time travel (November 2021) and appreciate the opportunity to share some of our experiences with you.
Our love for Portugal has deepened with additional time in Lagos, Lisbon and beyond. Creating memories with our new friends, Joe and Terri, makes these moments even more special.

On our way to Portugal (via a London layover) ...

Nov 1, 2021 - We've arrived!
Lisbon
The capital of Portugal is an alpha city due to its powerful global influence in politics, economics and social issues. Lisbon is the second oldest capital city in Europe, behind Athens, Greece. Archeologists date Lisbon inhabitants between the 8th to 6th centuries BC!
Our trips to Lisbon have been consumed with exploring the food, culture and history of this incredible place. We’ve discovered the people of Lisbon are warm, welcoming and eager to share their city. They have a deep sense of pride in the history and accomplishments of those who have lived there in the past. It is one of our favorite places in Portugal.

Trinda & Jade (sadly for us) preparing to depart
Joe & Terri introduced us to Alex Ramos, Tuk Tuk (and vehicle) guide extraordinaire! Click on the photo to link to his FB site if you're up for fantastic, informative tours of Lisbon, Sintra and other local areas.
Months later, Joe & Terri met the same friend who previously connected with Jade!
We will return, Lisbon!
